The Moo Duk Kwan® gold fist pin indicates the wearer’s direct connection to Moo Duk Kwan®Founder Hwang’s Kee through his successor organization and it signifies the wearer’s inclusion in one of the most honored and prestigious groups of martial artists in the world, Moo Duk Kwan® Ko Dan Ja.
The Moo Duk Kwan® Gold Fist Pin continues an important tradition that has helped earn the Moo Duk Kwan® organization exclusive rights for use of the fist logo which is the long-standing practice of awarding an official silver Moo Duk Kwan® fist pin to practitioners when they are issued their Moo Duk Kwan® Dan Bon.
Today a similar tradition for Gups is preserved by the United States Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation® which ships an official Moo Duk Kwan® bronze fist pin with the first official Moo Duk Kwan® Gup Rank certificate that a student member receives after their 1st successful Gup rank promotion examination.
Replacement Moo Duk Kwan® Fist Pins like the one originally issued with the Moo Duk Kwan® 1st Dan Certificate are also available.
Moo Duk Kwan® Dan Alumni and Dan members who previously received a fist pin with their Moo Duk Kwan® rank certificate now have the option to upgrade (or replace a lost pin) with an official Moo Duk Kwan® solid silver fist pin.
